W

Wavelength: The distance between successive peaks in a traveling wave. The shorter the wavelength, the more energy the wave contains, and the higher frequency. Link: Fusion processes and radiation.

White dwarf: A small remnant of a sunlike star. A white dwarf is about the size of the earth in diameter (6 000 km), but a spoon of its material would weight 3 metric tons! The mass limit of white dwarfs is called the Chandrasekhar limit and lies around 1.4 Solar masses.
