Light: Light is also called radiation, though when you speak of light you usually talk about the visible part of the spectrum. Link: Fusion processes and radiation.

Light year: The distance which light travels in a earthly year. The speed of light per second is 300 000 km/s, and it adds up to about 10 trillion km per year.

Local group: A galactic cluster in which both our own milky way galaxy and our neighbour the andromeda galaxy are part of.

Luminosity: Luminosity is another word for brightness, which depends on the temperature of the body that radiates the energy, and the total surface which radiates this energy.
